Covid-19 (Corona Virus) Announcement

4/28/20 UPDATE

Effective May 1st Oregon Imaging Centers will be able to once again be able provide all urgent and non-urgent imaging needs to Lane County; this includes preventative screening exams such as annual mammograms.  We understand many in our community have had to delay their exams due to the COVID crisis.  We will be making every effort to schedule and reschedule all exam as soon as possible, but for the safety of all we need to start slowly, we ask for your patience and understanding during this time and accept that your appointment may be scheduled further out than we would typically be able to provide.

Oregon Imaging Centers is committed to maintaining a safe environment for all patients and staff.  We care about your safety and the safety of our community, and as such, we have removed chairs from our waiting rooms and implemented a new “wait-in-car check in process” in an effort to increase physical distancing.  We require patients to arrive individually for exams (a single care provider can be accommodated for physical needs if necessary), and we are requiring patients to wear a mask or cloth face cover to their appointment.  Patients over 60 or those with compromised immune systems must balance the risk-benefit of their exam prior to schedule, if you have questions or are uncertain of the need for an appointment we urge you to discuss this with your Clinician.

4/21/20 UPDATE

In order to make our facility safe for everyone, please try to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Wear a mask or cloth face cover
  • Arrive individually, no more than one care provider if necessary
  • Take advantage of our text check in process

4/8/20 UPDATE

In light of the COVID-19 crisis, and in an effort to protect all of our patients and staff we at Oregon Imaging Centers are requesting patients and family members arriving at one of our facilities to adhere to the CDC recommendation of wearing cloth face coverings during your visit.

For additional information, please visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover.html.

3/20/20 UPDATE

Oregon Imaging Centers (OIC) is committed to provide all measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 in our community.  In response to the growing concern over the spread of coronavirus, OIC is suspending all scheduled screening Mammography, Bone Densitometry (DEXA), and all Fluoroscopy procedure immediately for a four-week duration.

If you have a confirmed, upcoming appointment and are experiencing a cough, fever, difficulty breathing that is new, body aches, and/or a sore throat, please call your doctor’s office before you come to your appointment to be assessed.

If you are coming in for an appointment, you will be met at the door by a staff member who will conduct a preliminary screening upon arrival.

Please arrive individually, or with no more than one family member/care provider to your appointment.

3/12/20

We at Oregon Imaging Centers recognize that the ongoing situation with the 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) can be frightening and stressful. We continue to manage the situation and we are actively doing everything possible to keep our patients safe.

For patients who have had a fever or cough, have traveled outside of the U.S. in the past 30 days, or been in close contact with any confirmed COVID-19 patient, please call your doctor’s office before coming to your appointment.

Also, in accordance with Governor Kate Brown’s order to restrict gatherings, and to minimize the risk of infection to all of our patients and staff, we are asking that adult patients coming for appointments arrive individually, or be accompanied by no more than one adult family member/caregiver unless medically necessary.

For our pediatric patients, please make all efforts to limit the number of parents, guardians, and siblings on your visit to Oregon Imaging Centers.

  • Importantly, please continue to practice good hand hygiene.
  • Refrain from touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. Discard the tissue and clean your hands. If a tissue is not available, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve.
  • Avoid shaking hands

We continue to closely monitor this global health advisory and follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  You can find additional information on the U.S. Department of State, the CDC site, and local information at the Lane County site.  For additional COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions.  See travel information and safety tips from the CDC.
